Of course, without a VR headset you’re missing out on the beautifully crafted immersion that the hand-painted art style and lush and expansive audio presentation offer, but we can still show you some awesome gameplay footage, captured in real time as the game is played. So let’s get to it!
Tethered Gameplay
As if that wasn’t enough to get you warmed up, here’s some screenshots of the beautiful world you’ll be presiding over in the game.
To give you a bit of background, you are a Spirit Guardian. You awake to find your lands ransacked by evil creatures of the night. Each floating island in your archipelago should have its own Spirit Guardian watching over it, but your brethren have all been imprisoned inside the Nexus Totems on each island. Without their guidance, the islands drift unguarded, ravaged by the creatures of the night!
In order to free your kindred spirits, you’ll need some help! The inhabitants of your lands, The Peeps, have endured much hardship. Without the guidance of the Spirit Guardians they have fallen into despair, choosing to end it all by flinging themselves off the edge of the islands. You must remind them what it means to have hope; give them purpose and through their industry you can gather Spirit Energy, free the entombed Spirit Guardians and restore balance to the lands.

So there you have it – a brief overview of what to expect from our VR debut title, Tethered. We’re cracking on as we race towards our GM submission, so time to lock the doors and order the pizzas now, but hopefully you’ll join us next week when we’ll be doing another post –
